Spry Therapeutics has always been invested in helping our customers and their communities live safer, healthier lives – but when COVID left so many businesses, healthcare facilities, and schools in crisis, that mission became essential. 

In March 2020, Spry Therapeutics donated 10,000 filtered medical pillows to hospitals across the U.S. to help slow the spread of COVID-19. In addition, we wanted to share our virus-blocking products with some of our community’s most vulnerable residents – so we donated filtered pillows to the adults and children living in residential homes operated by the Mary Cariola Center.

Protecting Individuals with Complex Disabilities

Located in Rochester, NY, Cariola is dedicated to offering the highest quality innovative educational programs and small group homes for individuals with complex disabilities. The organization serves more than 450 students, as well as 44 individuals residing in six residential homes, and is steadfast in its vision to unlock the lifelong potential of its community members.

Putting the safety and wellbeing of its residents first, Cariola recognizes the importance of preventative measures to protect residents, their caregivers, and families from the spread of infection. COVID-19 (and its many variants) has been a reminder of how easily infections can spread – and for individuals with special needs, this can be life-threatening. A clean sleeping environment is an additional layer of protection that helps give parents and guardians greater peace of mind.
